If you want to truly see how much the establishment Republicans are continuing to push the US away from an authentic America First foreign policy, look no further than our disastrous entanglements in the Middle East. Once again, the residents of Ohio and Texas are being pushed towards another unwinnable conflict with Iran that has nothing to do with their national interests.
Our troops are dying for no reason other than to enrich political elites in Washington DC
We don’t have to wonder who benefits from these pointless wars, because the establishment Republicans told us themselves. When Marco Rubio admitted that foreign powers were pressuring us to engage in military action, he revealed that our government is nothing more than a puppet regime that serves the interests of international elites, not the American people. Our military is being used to protect Israel and prop up foreign economies, but where are the jobs for the men and women who risk their lives to do so? Why isn’t anyone in Congress fighting to actually serve the interests of the US, rather than continuing to sell American blood to defense contractors?
While all of the above is happening, Congressional Republicans continue to posture as defenders of the border and champions of patriotism
In a stunning display of spinelessness, every single member of Congress who voted on them either voted to attach key operational and technological components of the US military to the Israel Defense Forces. Do you know who was the only Republican elected official with the guts to stand up to his presidential candidates and vote against it? Thomas Massie. That’s right, Mr. Massie was the only Republican member of Congress who had the integrity to vote against measures that attached American military assets to a foreign power
Let’s stop dancing around this and admit what it is: treason. If the government of the United States is unable to operate independently and unilaterally, if our national defense is being made subordinate to the whims of a foreign entity, then we are already a puppet state of that entity.
Remember all of the campaign finance money that the Presidential candidates spent on claiming that the GOP is the party of fiscal conservatism and limited government? Well, now that the RINOs have finally gotten their wish and achieved total dominance in Washington DC, let’s look at what they’ve done. Year after year, conservative voters are being promised a fiscal discipline by our “limited government” advocates, but all of the Republicans in Congress seem to do is vote to approve hundreds of billions of dollars in defense spending, supplemental war funding resolutions, and foreign aid initiatives that enrich war profiteers.
That is precisely the kind of spending that creates huge deficits and causes rampant inflation in the economy. It is completely irresponsible and exactly the opposite of fiscal conservatism. The “fiscal conservatism” brand is nothing more than a cynical campaign finance tactic used by right-wing Republicans. Now that they’ve finally gotten their turn in office, every promise is being thrown out the window in favor of massive government spending increases.
While the right-wing establishment Republicans are busy engaging in deficit-financed military adventures in the Middle East, local authorities are quietly engaging in an expansion of surveillance activities on American citizens
Most Americans have never even heard of this particular company, but Flock Safety is in the process of placing thousands of network enabled, AI-equipped video cameras all around the country. Beginning with just a few towns in Ohio, Flock Safety is installing modified license plate readers which are capable of tracking the movement of vehicles from one location to another. This is obviously a valuable tool in tracking stolen vehicles, but there are other ways in which this information could be used. Flock Safety is already interested in tracking commercial vehicles, tracking damage to vehicles, identifying stickers on vehicles, counting how many people are riding in a vehicle, and more. They are creating a database which could allow government officials to track where you are going every single day.
Are you concerned about how this threatens your civil liberties? Are you upset that this violates the Fourth Amendment protections of the Constitution? Would you like to see an end to this blatant disregard for the privacy rights of American citizens? Of course you would, which is why Flock Safety should be stopped at once.
Finally, how are we supposed to consume information in this digital age? Every time that I turn on my YouTube account, open up a Facebook tab, or look at any of the other “social media feeds” that big tech companies provide, I am met with these ridiculous pieces of AI “content”
Clickbait headlines that were auto generated by AI algorithms, outright scams and preditors targeting senior citizens on Facebook, and so many other forms of digital garbage clog up all of the platforms. The truth is, big tech is not interested in providing quality information to the public. They are interested in maximizing profits, and the easiest way to do that is to put up whatever garbage gets the most views possible. There is value in real human creativity, but the algorithms that power content recommendation engines on these platforms are pushing out real human content in favor of artificial clickbait. We deserve better than an internet full of junk content churned out by spammers and scam artists.
