Tell me…. How out of touch can you be?
Wanting to fly to the Middle-East, to be more specific two of the most dangerous places in the world per the State Department, and also demanding NYPD officers escort you around? The Champagne Socialists never cease to amaze us.
Rama Duwaji, wife of Mayor Zohran Mamdani, requested NYPD protection for a family trip to Syria and Lebanon, which last we checked is under a Level 4 “Do Not Travel” advisories.
A NYPD spokesperson told CBS 12: “The NYPD does not send officers to countries with level 4 travel advisories for discretionary reasons such as personal travel’.
I’m on the side of the NYPD. How do you demand something that egregious? It shows exactly how out of touch the Mandani’s truly are.
Not only that, the mayor is so hot-tempered he’s now blaming and fighting with NYPD for refusing his wife’s request.
Another interesting note: the Mamdani’s are not poor. They can easily afford private security for personal trips overseas. Zohran still collects royalties from his old rap career as Mr. Cardamom (trust me, wear earplugs). Rama’s work as an illustrator should more than cover her own protection in the Middle East. Or here’s a crazy thought: DON’T GO!
This is nothing but a power trip from a socialist couple who have run New York into the ground ($5,000-a-month rents, licenses to get groceries, 114,000 residents leaving, businesses fleeing, and rising antisemitism. Phew! Mamdani better get his own house in order.
