The Neocon Plot To Railroad JD Vance
Last week, I opened up my phone and, for better or for worse, clicked on X. When I opened up the app, I was shocked to see Ben Shapiro on my for you page. I have not listened to Ben Shapiro much since 2022, back then my political leanings were much different than they are now to say the very least. But what Mr. Shapiro said caught my eye. The post that he made was responding to an interview that Vice President JD Vance gave on The Joe Rogan Experience. In that interview, the Vice President talked about the Epstein saga, including possible foreign intelligence connections that Epstein may have had, the dismal economic state of the country, the Iran War, and Israeli influence, or attempted influence, on American politics. These were topics that neither I nor apparently Ben Shapiro expected the Vice President to be speaking on. In my opinion, I thought that the Vice President benefited a lot from this interview, especially considering his 2028 odds have recently gone down. But many on the neocon right, thought Vance did quite terribly. Shapiro’s post read, “I tuned into Joe Rogan yesterday and heard Bernie Sanders’ economics, Barack Obama’s foreign policy, and Ro Khanna’s conspiracy theories. And then I realized JD Vance was talking. I want a candidate in 2028 who doesn’t mirror the Democrats — and who can win. Mr. VP, this is not the way.” It wasn’t just Shapiro — many on the neocon right came out against JD Vance after this interview. Whether it was Joe Berry of the now hilariously unfunny Babylon Bee, or James Lindsay the subversive atheist liberal, or numerous other neocon and Zionist influencers. Many of these people had been critical of JD Vance before this, but ever since the Iran deal brokered by the Vice President, they have become increasingly more hostile. Now we’re expected to believe that the people who opposed Trump in 2016, opposed his return in 2024 and backed Ron DeSantis, are now the standard bearers for “MAGA”. People like Dana Loesch, Shapiro himself, Mark Levin, and many more now fancy themselves the judges of what is acceptable in the Republican party.
Why Do They Oppose JD Vance?
We must first ask, before we get deeper into this topic, why does the establishment oppose JD Vance so much? In other words, what threat is he to them? For, many on the right have criticized JD Vance for his connections to Palantir and Peter Thiel, his stance on Israel, which he seems to be moderating, and his connections with the establishment in the Republican Party. Well, Vance represents, even if some believe he doesn’t go far enough, a continuing shift to the right in the Republican Party. If JD Vance is the nominee in 2028 and becomes the President of the United States, it will shut out the neocon establishment from power in the party almost overnight and almost permanently. It would signal the truth that people like Ben Shapiro and James Lindsay refuse to recognize: a neocon candidate is no longer politically viable. There’s a reason that John McCain lost in 2008, there’s a reason that Mitt Romney lost in 2012, and there’s a reason that Ted Cruz or Jeb Bush would have lost in 2016. That reason isn’t the changing demographics of America, or stupid college kids who have an idealized view of socialism and socialist leaders, nor is it that the people of this country are particularly fond of Democratic politicians. We have entered a war of ideas in the United States of America. One side is going to win out. It is abundantly clear that Reaganite, establishment politics is never going to defeat the left. This is because Neo-Conservatism is fundamentally controlled opposition, it’s leftism going the speed limit. Smart people, people who want to win elections and shape the future of the United States, realize how politically toxic Reaganite ideology is. But the establishment does not care about winning elections, nor do they care about saving the country. They care about power, what little power they actually have. They know that if JD Vance wins in 2028, it will be the culmination of the rightward movement in the Republican Party and they will lose power forever. That is why they oppose JD Vance, that is why they are trying to anoint Marco Rubio as their candidate, their guy for 2028. This truth is made abundantly clear in statements from some of these men, particularly from Ben Shapiro. The Daily Wire pundit gleefully reported the reignition of the war with Iran. He celebrated what he saw as a move away from JD Vance’s foreign policy and more of a move towards Marco Rubio’s foreign policy, the foreign policy that his side really wants. Once you start paying attention, you see that this is truly a warm-up to the fight that all of us will be privy to in 2028 for the soul of the Republican Party.
How Will This End?
The last question that we will discuss is this: how will this battle end? The answer truly is that we don’t know. The answer to that question relies upon the people of this country and Republican voters. Make no mistake about it, if Marco Rubio is the nominee for president in 2028, then Gavin Newsom will be the 48th President of the United States. A lot of people are beginning to understand that. The battle that will take place on the convention floor in Houston, Texas two years from now, is being previewed now on X. It is important that true America First conservatives make their voices heard in the public square. The reason that the establishment has had such a stranglehold over the party for so long, is because they were the loudest voices in the room. If you want to see change in the Republican Party, if you don’t want politics as usual, if you want a president that’s going to put America First and is going to advance the conservative agenda, you have to be louder than the opposition. The only way that Marco Rubio is stopped from being anointed Trump’s successor and putting the party back into the hands of the neocons, is if enough people stand up and say, “We’re not going back.” The people of this country have to say no. They must refuse to allow a political establishment that has rigged the system and screwed them over time and time again to force a candidate down their throats. A candidate that will serve the interest of a foreign nation and a political class that has protected even the most vile of Epstein perpetrators. This candidate, Marco Rubio, who pushed for mass amnesty for illegal immigrants and forever wars in the Middle East, must be rejected. If Rubio is not rejected, the people may forever lose their ability to steer the direction of this nation and this party.
